It’s really happening!

It’s been a few weeks since we posted an update - and I still can’t reveal much, but I can promise that behind the scenes we are doing a lot!

We have dropped about $10,000 on jewelry! This is actually a small budget for jewelry, and if there is any cash leftover close to opening, I may order a bit more. We have a space to lease! We are gathering furniture and figuring out the layout for the space! There is some plumbing that needs to be completed for us to use the space appropriately, and that, really, will take up the most time (including permits and such.)

Also, I have applied to become a notary! In Kentucky, minors must have a notarized letter to get pierced, and it makes a lot of sense to have an on site notary - and that will be me!

This week I am hoping to get the business cards designed and ordered also. I am doing much of the behind the scenes work, and my partner is doing much of the space/room work.

Our tentative opening date is currently August 1st! Fingers crossed we can get everything done in time! By then we will also be using an online booking system to hopefully keep an easy and seamless process!

We certainly did not plan for all of this to happen at once, but that seems to be how it is happening. It’s quite a tight time for our family and any little bit is beneficial.
